Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced Digital Bangladesh and Vision 2021 in 2008 which is a reality today. In this context, now we are moving forward with the conviction to establish a developed and prosperous country by 2041 and make Smart Bangladesh through the digital transformation to a knowledge-based economy.
The 4IR, also known as Industry 4.0, features the technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics and the internet of things, self-driven transport, nanotechnology and biotechnology, blockchain, 5G, data science etc. The 4IR has drawn significant impacts in our day-to-day life. Now is the high time to prepare our youths as competent to utilize their innovative power and avail themselves of the advantage of the 4IR.
The International Conference on 4IR for Emerging Future will engage experts from policy makers, industry and academia. I hope the conference will be an excellent forum to exchange views and opinions on technological advancement and announce a new set of emerging directives for the relevant experts.
